Steps
- Check whether you're listed. Search propertyrec.com for your name, city, and state. Note any listings that match you, including older addresses.
- Open the opt-out form. Go to PropertyRec network's opt-out page and fill in the form with the details that match your listing.
- Confirm by email. Watch your inbox, and your spam folder, for a confirmation link. Most requests aren't processed until you click it. A separate email address just for opt-outs helps.
- Check again later. Search for yourself again in a few days. Brokers often re-add people from new public records, so put a reminder on your calendar to check again in 6 months.
We wrote these steps from the opt-out method on file. Our automated check confirms the link responds. It does not confirm the form works.
