Heads up: The opt-out link on file now returns "page not found". The process has probably moved. The steps below may be out of date. Search the site's footer for "privacy", "do not sell", or "opt out" links.
Steps
- Find your listing. Search arrestfacts.com for your name and city. Open the result that is you and copy the page address from your browser bar. The opt-out form usually asks for it.
- Open the opt-out form. Go to ArrestFacts (BeenVerified-related)'s opt-out page and fill in the form with the details that match your listing.
- Or send an email. You can also email privacy@arrestfacts.com and ask them to remove your record. Include your full name, the address shown on the listing, and a link to it if there is one. Don't send anything they don't already have.
- Pass the CAPTCHA. Expect a CAPTCHA before the form will submit.
- Confirm by email. Watch your inbox, and your spam folder, for a confirmation link. Most requests aren't processed until you click it. A separate email address just for opt-outs helps.
- Check again later. Search for yourself again in a few days. Brokers often re-add people from new public records, so put a reminder on your calendar to check again in 6 months.
We wrote these steps from the opt-out method on file. Our automated check confirms the link responds. It does not confirm the form works.
